Sicilian tradition, taste of home
Cerere – Fattore Siculo has its roots in a story deeply rooted in Sicilian tradition. It all began in 1990, when Nonna Rosa and her husband started a small family business in Adrano dedicated to processing and shelling pistachios. A simple, everyday gesture that became the seed of a journey destined to grow.
Over time, the company expanded, acquiring land on the southwestern slope of Mount Etna and investing in machinery to produce natural, toasted, and praline-coated pasta and grains. This marked the beginning of a new phase: from raw materials to typical Sicilian products, enriched by increasingly careful and traceable processing. The opening of the workshop in the historic center of Adrano marked a turning point: arancini, cannoli, almond pastries, and many other traditional specialties were created.
Since 2010, thanks to its collaboration with chef Lucia Mazzullo, the company has been bringing Sicilian street food to major international fairs and events, transforming arancini into true gourmet delicacies. In 2015, Cerere consolidated its presence outside the island: pistachio, arancini, and cannoli became the three signature products with which the company established itself in the international market and in large-scale retail.
Today, Cerere – Fattore Siculo continues its original mission: to bring Sicily into homes around the world, with products that convey the scent of citrus fruits, the flavor of grains, the passion of Sicilian families, and a love of tradition. It is a story of growth, quality, and identity, rewarded over time with national awards, television commercials, and growing appreciation even beyond Italy's borders.
